Pantone, the color institute, has for the first time picked two colors for 2016, a pale pink called Rose Quartz and a pale blue called Serenity. In this time of turmoil and stress, Pantone opted for colors that promote a sense of well being and calm. Accessories are a way to introduce these new colors into your wardrobe if you feel they are not in your color palette. 6. Off the shoulder
Off the shoulder styles abound in tops as well as dresses. Bare shoulders are a way to appear alluring and not too revealing.
7. Lace Up Shoes
Lace up shoes are a carry over from past seasons, proving to be a trend with lasting appeal.
8. Slip Dress
Slip Dresses recall their heyday in the ‘90s. Some slip dresses are embellished with lace or structured with ruching, while others are simple and minimal. Some incorporate the floral print and the stripe trend. They can be layered with a tee shirt for easy wearability.
Ruffles, a popular and recurring trend, explode exuberantly on prints, on hems and necklines, and in tiers. Some ruffles, especially in red, have a Latin influence.
